Our Governing Body
Our GP members appoint the Governing Body whose role is to oversee the work of the CCG.
The Governing Body ensures that the group functions effectively, efficiently and economically, and that decisions are made in an open, fair way.
In accordance with our constitution, the Governing Body includes lay-members, a registered nurse and the director of public health from our local authority, along with practice representatives and CCG leaders.
All members of the Governing Body are subject to a competitive recruitment process to establish that they meet the essential requirements of the role.
Governing Body meetings
The Governing Body meets regularly and members of the public are welcome to attend these meetings and ask questions.
The Governing Body’s committees
The Governing Body has appointed committees to drive the CCG’s commissioning responsibilities on behalf of member GP practices.
