Safeguarding children and vulnerable adults

South Gloucestershire Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) has a statutory responsibility under the Children Act 2004 and Care Act 2014 to ensure the safety of all children, and the safety of adults at risk of abuse and neglect.

This statutory responsibility extends to all of the organisations which provide services on our behalf.

We work closely with South Gloucestershire Safeguarding and South Gloucestershire Partnership Against Domestic Abuse to ensure that safeguarding arrangements are monitored and assessed across all providers, and that standards are specified in our contracts.

NHS England and the Care Quality Commission oversee our processes to make sure that we meet our safeguarding responsibilities.
